The dust has barely settled on the Boston Celtics winning Game 5 of the 2023-24 finals and in doing so cementing a record 18th NBA title to become the most successful franchise in NBA history, as basketball fans now face a barren spell without the sport they love.

There is a sliver of good news for the basketball faithful with the NBA Summer League set to start on 12 July and run through to 22 July and just four days later the 2024 Paris Olympics commence with the basketball event always one of the highlights and most eagerly anticipated sports at the Games.

Some of the global heavyweights will be in action in France with the likes of Spain, Serbia, Australia and of course Team USA competing for the Olympic gold. The US team is packed full of NBA talent with the likes of LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Joel Embiid and Jayson Tatum all set to star in the French capital.
