Palat goal ensures championship series goes to Game 6
Colorado could have wrapped up the best-of-seven Finals in Game 5 in Denver on Friday, but the Lightning kept the series alive with a 3-2 victory, Ondrej Palat’s goal proving the difference at Ball Arena.
The win for Tampa Bay cut the Avalanche’s lead to 3-2, with the series now returning to Amalie Arena. Were the Lightning to tie the Finals on Sunday, the teams would play out a decisive Game 7 in Denver on Tuesday.
