Saturday’s Best NBA Bets

Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook | All wagers are for 1 unit

Charlotte Hornets (+340) at Atlanta Hawks (-430) | O/U 214.5 (-110/-110)

The Hornets (17-52) and Hawks (30-39) lock horns at State Farm Arena in Atlanta.

Charlotte has won each of the first two meetings this season, both taking place at Spectrum Center. The Hornets have had a power outage on offense, going for 98 or fewer points in each of the past three outings, while posting 110 or fewer points in nine in a row. The Under has cashed in each of the past three outings while going 7-2 in the past nine, and 14-3 across the past 17 bouts.

Atlanta has managed to win just once in the recently completed five-game road trip, with only a surprise win over the Los Angeles Clippers to show for its efforts. The Hawks are 1-5 SU/ATS in the past six games while cashing the Under at a 5-3 clip in the past eight outings. The total has also gone low in 10 of the past 15 games for Atlanta while cashing in both meetings with the Hornets this season.

Go low, and feel confident in doing so.

Bet: Under 214.5 Total Points (-110)

Boston Celtics (-320) at Chicago Bulls (+260) | O/U 222 (-108/-112)

The Celtics (56-14) play the second contest of a four-game road trip against the Bulls (34-36), and it’s the second game in two days, as well.

Boston picked up a 129-102 rout of the Detroit Pistons on Friday night, cashing a 14-point number. The Celtics have won eight in a row while going 7-1 ATS. The team’s last loss was May 7 in Denver.

The Bulls suffered a 127-117 loss against the Houston Rockets as a 4-point underdog and the Over (219) cashed. Chicago has a losing record in the past seven games, winning three times, although Chicago has picked up wins at home in the past two games. Of course, winning against the Portland Trail Blazers or Washington Wizards and taking down the No. 1 seed Boston Celtics are two completely different things.

Boston has won three straight meetings while winning and covering both meetings this season. In fact, the C’s have won both meetings by at least 17 points, with an average margin of victory of 22.0 points per game.

Until the Bulls are competitive against the Celtics, keep rolling with Boston laying the points.

Bets: Celtics -8 (-112)

Denver Nuggets (-950) at Portland Trail Blazers (+640) | O/U 210 (-110/-110)

The Nuggets (49-21) travel to meet the Trail Blazers (19-51) in what is a huge mismatch on paper.

Denver has won their last two and seven of the past eight outings, while covering 10 of the past 15 games dating back to Feb. 22. That includes a 127-112 win on Feb. 23 in Portland as an 8-point favorite as the Over (216.5) cashed.

Portland has dropped five in a row, scoring 107 or fewer points in four of those games. However, the Over has cashed in four in a row. Denver has won six in a row in this series while covering three of the past five meetings.

Roll with the Over, as that’s the better play than fiddling around with the points.

Bets: Over 210 Total Points (-110)
